Are children allowed in the library?
No. The Goodwin community relies on the library as a quiet place for study and work. No child can be left alone in the library or any other area of the campus. Thank you for respecting this policy.

Are laptop computers available to borrow?
There are 21 laptop computers available for Goodwin students to use IN THE LIBRARY only. You must have your student ID card to borrow a laptop. You must sign a Terms of Use form each semester. Your student ID card will be collected and held when you borrow a laptop computer and will be returned to you when the laptop is returned. All laptop computers have wireless connection to the library printer.

What are the hours for the Goodwin Library?
Monday - Friday: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
The staff may be available for additional hours with advance notice. Holiday schedules are different. Changes in the schedule are posted in the library and on this website.

Is tutoring help available?
Goodwin College provides a Learning Resource Center in Room 209 at the River Campus to help students with their mathematics, reading, and writing skills. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am. - 7:00 pm. and Saturdays 9:00 am. - 12:00 pm (noon). Other tutoring sessions can be arranged by appointment.
Is there reference help available?
The library staff is available to help you in person, by phone, or email. A new mobile service, Text-A-Librarian, has started where patron can ask questions from their cell phone. Instructors also schedule classes in the library to prepare you for specific research assignments.

How do I save files in the library?
Goodwin Library highly recommends using flash drives (also called thumb or jump drives). NO LOST RESEARCH PAPERS OR LAB REPORTS! None of the library computers can read a floppy disk and compact discs are unreliable. Flash drives are available in the Goodwin College Bookstore.
